In my current academic pursuit, I am dedicated to Health and Human Sciences at the University of Sheffield. My educational journey is complemented by a diverse array of substantive work experiences, underscoring my commitment to personal and professional growth.
In addition to my academic endeavors, I actively contribute to my community by imparting knowledge as a Qur'an instructor at a nearby community center. Concurrently, I am advancing my linguistic proficiency through level 1 and 2 interpreter courses.
My practical engagements included immersive work experiences at a primary school and an elderly care home in July 2016. At the primary school, I actively participated in and facilitated various activities for young children. I provided invaluable support to both students and teaching staff in educational initiatives planning and execution. Conversely, my tenure at the elderly care home afforded me a nuanced understanding of patient requirements and sentiments, particularly in relation to their healthcare needs.
A pinnacle experience in my professional journey was my selection among the top 50 candidates out of 500 applicants nationwide. This was for a coveted program at Royal Air Force College catering to females interested in engineering. This intensive residential initiative, spanning four days, demanded independence, confidence, and courage. Notably, I surmounted the initial challenge of acclimating to unfamiliar surroundings and interacting with others, showcasing my adeptness at effective collaboration and communication. This was particularly evident in collaborative efforts to produce presentations, models, and rehearsals for performances.
These diverse experiences have honed my skills in critical areas such as communication, adaptability, and teamwork. As I continue to pursue my studies in Health and Human Sciences, I am poised to leverage this multifaceted skill set to make meaningful contributions to the healthcare field and beyond.
