Offshore Electrical Surveyor

Member of the offshore verification team as an electrical surveyor. General duties included both initial suitability and in-service verification scopes for a variety of offshore units. I inspect systems on offshore platforms such as hazardous area equipment, fire and gas systems, emergency shutdown systems, UPS and emergency power, etc. Developed performance standards and written schemes of verification under the safety case regulations. Acted as co-ordinator for Bluewater FPSOs. Carried out class and flag surveys (e.g. MPMS, boiler surveys) and dynamic positioning FMEA trials. I have carried out some design reviews to the DNV 2.7.2 temporary offshore equipment standard, Norsok, IEC and EU directive standards and certified some Ex assemblies to IECEx and ATEX standards.
