SENIOR APP DEVELOPER/MOBILE LEAD

Claims Consortium Group
01.2013 - 01.2017
  • At CCG, my primary responsibility was to develop mobile Apps to support surveyors and contractors while in the field. Those apps include:
  • The Surveyor's App (IOS Only). This is a comprehensive enterprise app used on site by surveyors to manage the entire survey lifecycle, gather data and transmit that data to the back end systems via a public facing WCF service. This app included the ability to gather data, take photos and annotate them, record videos and store them in the cloud, draw simple sketches and communicate seamlessly with the companies back end systems. This is an enterprise app and only available internally.
  • The Contractor's app (IOS and Android). Similar to the Surveyor's app but aimed at on site contractors. This app primarily collected data and photos that then linked in with a customer's Track My Claim account. Track My Claim is a customer facing web site that allows policyholders to keep track of the progress of their house insurance claim. This is also an enterprise app and only available internally.
  • Track My Claim Messenger (IOS and Android). One of the features of the Track My Claim web solution was to give the user the ability to communicate with all those involved with their claim via a proprietary messaging service. This included the claim handlers, surveyors and contractors. I was responsible for creating an app that supported this messaging feature for IOS and Android devices. This app is currently available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
  • Stand Against Violence (IOS). CCG has a close connection with the Stand Against Violence charity and I was asked to create an app for them. This app was aimed at young teenagers with a view to keeping them safe and providing relevant information concerning personal safety and first aid. The SAV app is currently available on the Apple App Store.
  • Viseption (IOS and Android). This solution is a Visit management system that was created to do away with the paper based signing in book found on reception. The solution consisted of an SQL database and Web API hosted on Azure, a WPF desktop app and an IOS/Android app. Using the desktop or mobile app, a user could create a visit log that not only created and managed the appointments in Outlook but also sent out the invitations and managed the various meeting rooms within the company. The system utilised Exchange Web Services (EWS) to perform all the Outlook tasks automatically.
