  • I teach the majority of the curriculum to a Year 6 class as well as leading Curriculum, Assessment and Maths in the Junior School. This involves tracking the progress of children across the school and staying on top of current initiatives nationally to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils.
  • In the last 2 years, I have made significant changes to the whole Junior School Curriculum and created a new system of assessment from the ground up.
  • I also spend time researching best practice in teaching, which involves gaining a greater understanding of the psychology of learning and Growth Mindset.
  • There is a high level of SEND need in my current school and 80% of my current class are on the SEND register. Two of these children have EHCPs.

  • I was the general point of contact for many things that happened on match day. I handled the admin: from team sheets and official communication with match officials to match documentation. I also coordinated logistics, looked after player welfare, and dealt with any incidents that pop up, as they could vary hugely from day to day.
  • While I was there, I unofficially mentored a young person from a local SEMH school who was interested in the club.
  • Reason for Leaving: All of my family worked at the club as a family activity. My children lost interest.

  • For the entirety of the time that I worked here, I was a mentor to one child, who was living with a foster family.
  • I took him out for trips and was sometimes an advocate for him, ensuring that his opinion was heard in various meetings.
