Born and grew up in Taipei , Taiwan, I re-located to the UK in 2009. My Asian background and knowledge has allowed me to help the two companies I have worked for thus helping them more easily to open their business or grow their market share in my original region. Having worked in the IT industry for almost 12 years. This is a fast pace area. It is essential that I am always ready to listen to the customers needs. I enjoy working closely with my colleagues within various departments to achieve customers' expectations as this is the key to always remaining ahead of our competitors.
In my current role, I travel to Asia ( mainly S Korea, Taiwan, China and Singapore) on a regular basis ( 3-4 times per year). I am open to expand my knowledge and hope I can progress more with my career.
Account Management:
1. Working closely with Adder Channel Partners within S Korea, Taiwan and China on a daily basis for all sales supports ( ie identifying the suitable products/ solutions, providing quotations).
2. Following up on-going projects with channel partners and updating internal CRM system ( Dynamics).
3. Introducing new products to the approved channel partners and arranging demo units to be sent out and collecting feedbacks from them after the testings are completed.
4. Planning, organizing or taking part in the exhibitions ( I have exhibited Infocomm Beijing 2012,2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, KOBA Korea 2019, Semicon Shanghai 2017, Computex Taipei 2019, Interbee Tokyo 2018, Amdex Singapore 2023, IBC 2016, 2018, ISE 2018, 2020)
5. Providing admin support for the whole Asia team whilst based in Bar Hill HQ ( ie sales order process on ERP system, lead time enquiries)
6. Handling daily sales enquiries from website submissions within my territories.
7. Have achieved the set annual sales target for duration of my employment with Adder.
Business Development:
1. Becoming the main communication person between Asian partners and Adder R&D to help Adder understands customers' requirements and hence keep our firmware up to date or add new features as required. My main goal is always helping Adder obtaining a good market share in the semiconductor industry in Taiwan, S Korea and China.
2. Identifying and following up potential resellers/ system integrators or partners via the sales leads collected from the exhibitions or website on a regular basis.
3. Assisting Adder to set up a Tokyo Japan office in 2017 and passing the new business to our Japanese local manager.
Manage Sales Order Process:
1. Receive, enter and process orders on ERP system.
2. Coordinate with shipping, planning departments to ensure orders are dispatched by the required deadlines.
3. Updating customers if shipments are delayed or in short supply.
4. Provide quotations for customers across EMEA and APAC.
Handle Sales Enquiry:
1. Field any incoming phone calls and e-mail requests for information.
Arranging meetings for the APAC team:
1. Hold inside sales meetings, collect issues and pass the feedbacks to the relevant departments.
1. Ensure orders received from emails, phone calls are being correctly input in the system.
2. Conducting quality checks on the lenses before shipping to the customers.
3. Be the key person between UK company and Chinese manufacturers.
1. Inspect and check import declarations to ensure correct tariffs are applied to each item.
2. Assessment the declared imports and calculate the import tax to pay on each import declaration.
