Now semi-retired, I am looking for an opportunity to pursue a career in travel management. Key strengths are communication, organisation and staying calm in tricky situations. As an professional within a top accounting firm for most of my career, and as a single mother of 2 (children now adults), organisation has been key to success and survival!

In my professional world, people skills have been key, from dealing with clients, to influencing internal senior partners, and developing more junior staff. I have often had to balance keeping multiple stakeholders happy.

In my private life I was heavily involved in scouting for 8 years as a volunteer, ultimately achieving my Wood Badge qualification, Overnight Stay Qualification and a signed certificate from Bear Grylls for service to Scouting. In scouting I brought together my skills to organise activities, communicate with parents, children and carers, as well as to work in a team with fellow volunteer leaders. I was also responsible for risk assessments and was first aid trained.

I have a massive passion for travel and have been to over 40 countries - I love experiencing different cultures, the country, the sea, the city, animals, especially when they are all combined in one place.

As I look to the next stage of my life, I am more than keen to work in something that combines my love of people, travel, communication and organisational skills to help travellers have the best experience they can. People spend their hard earned money on a holiday and when things go wrong it can negatively impact on their experience. If I can contribute to a memorable experience, that would be amazing.
