Let me start by introducing myself. I'm Holly, 28 years old and currently seeking new career opportunities and looking to transition into other fields of work.
Over the past five and a half years, I have worked as a frontline Police Officer, responding to 999 emergencies and serving as part of a neighbourhood policing team. This role has greatly developed my personal resilience, decision-making, and ability to perform effectively under pressure.
I am fully trained as a Blue Light Driver, in Public Order, Taser Deployment, Interviewing Techniques, First Aid and Specially Trained Officer in supporting victims of sexual offences. I independently managed and progressed my own investigations, ensuring a victim-centred approach and taking pride in delivering a high standard of service to the public.
A particularly rewarding part of my policing role was working closely with vulnerable individuals in the community. I collaborated with families, local schools, and adult social services to problem-solve and improve outcomes, particularly for children and adults with mental health needs, physical disabilities, or those at risk of harm or exploitation. This work gave me a strong understanding of multi-agency safeguarding responsibilities, child protection legislation, and the importance of early intervention.
I regularly conducted risk assessments, particularly in cases involving domestic abuse and children at risk. Sharing this information efficiently with partner agencies was critical to ensuring the safety and protection of those involved. My experience has provided me with a solid foundation in safeguarding, partnership working, and trauma-informed practice. In addition to this, as a community officer a spent a lot of tackling and investigating anti social behaviour. These are often complex investigations due to there needing a multi agency, problem solving approach in order to provide resolutions.
As a Police Officer, I developed strong skills in managing conflict and working effectively with others in high-pressure environments. I frequently dealt with emotionally charged and potentially volatile situations, where clear communication, empathy, and quick decision-making were essential to de-escalate tensions and ensure safety. Whether working alongside colleagues, partner agencies, or members of the public, I always prioritised professionalism, collaboration, and respect. My ability to remain calm and assertive under pressure allowed me to build trust, resolve disputes, and contribute positively to team dynamics.
In February 2025 I left Staffordshire police and resigned from the force. This was not an easy decision but it was what felt right for me and my family.
Whilst working as a Police Officer I had a secondary business, which is my dog walking and pet sitting business. I established this in June 2024 . When I left Staffordshire Police, I decided to run my dog walking business part time. While I’ve valued the independence and experience gained through self-employment, I’m eager to return to a collaborative environment where I can contribute as part of a team and grow within a structured career path. Having now had the time to focus on personal growth I’m now feeling motivated to start a new chapter in my career. My background in policing has equipped me with a strong foundation in critical thinking, teamwork, supporting others and problem solving - skills I'm eager to bring to a new role.
I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my CV and would very much look forward to hearing back from you. I'm a hard working individual, willing to learn and would like to consider myself a valuable asset to any team
