Accomplishments

  • I am a Scottish/Norwegian born writer and poet who has just started living in Texas, USA with my two children and our Greek rescue cat called Sylvie Stardust. My publishing credits include Spelk fiction, Camroc Fiction Press, Literary Orphans, Mslexia, Feminine Collective, Sick Lit Mag, Twisted Sister, Bright Sleep Magazine, The Magnolia Review, LITRO and have won the Scottish Book Trust 50-word short story competition
  • One of my short stories was chosen as a 'New Voice' for the Federation of Writers (Scotland) New Voices Anthology. I was shortlisted for Story Shop at this year’s Edinburgh Book Festival. I am also a member of the Society of Authors
  • My novel is in its second edition, Blood On The Banana Leaf, a literary dark psychological thriller navigating the bleak world of maid culture in Singapore and how women cope in the most brutal of circumstances was published in 2019 by Unbound.
  • When I’m not writing, reading Grimdark, designing book covers or gaming I enjoy watching dark, blood-splattered dramas like Game of Thrones, Euphoria and Sons of Anarchy.

Current Situation

Thank you so much for reading my CV so far.  I do have many qualifications but I'm looking for any work that I can do remotely from my new Texas home that will support myself and my young daughter. I am a single mother and would like to remain as present as possible for my daughter when possible.

That being said I will bring a wealth of experience to your company. I'm very easy to get on with, respectful and drama-free in the workplace. I am a divergent creative AND analytical processor bringing together the best of both worlds. I have a superb speaking voice which has been used by companies around the world for speeches, messages, advertising and other areas.

I a have a excellent work ethic and happy to put the extra mile in as long as it is recognised and compensated.

My challenges are ADHD (medicated), need a variety of tasks, work very well in a team environment but prefer solo, not always available for work outwith normal office hours.

I can't wait to hear from you and discuss how I can support and elevate your company.

Thank you,

Holly
