Volunteer Experience

NHS Children Development Unit Summer Play Scheme, Voluntary Placement, 2013-08, I would support children with a wide range of disabilities, aged 3-8 years old. I would be assigned to a child for the day to monitor and play with, which included personal care, feeding them and entertaining them. I would ensure that the safety of all the children was my priority, set up appropriate equipment and play materials and write reports on the children and provided feedback to parents on their experience.
