In my role as Acting Deputy Head Teacher and SENDco, I am responsible for:

• Implementing safeguarding policies, ensuring pupil safety at all times.
• Assessing children with additional needs to decide on appropriate levels of support.
• Complete statutory and suggested documentation to be submitted to the Local Authority.
• Monitor planning, teaching and assessment for all pupils to ensure progress and monitor high quality teaching.
• Liaising with external agencies to support the needs of children with additional needs.
• Delivering personalised CPD to staff both as a group and individually.
• Organising, assessing and maintaining standards in English, including Phonics.
• Managing staff, organising timetables and planning strategically for best use of time.

• Responsible for the teaching and learning of all children.
• Adapting the curriculum and environment to suit the needs of all children.
• Strategically deploying support staff to ensure progress for all.
• Assisted in organising school trips, providing pupils with enriching experiences outside the classroom.
• Implemented innovative teaching strategies to engage students in the learning process and improve achievement for all children.
• Delivering CPD to staff on a regular basis.
