Participated in the transition of the two acre potager from traditional to ‘No-Dig’ practices
Contributed to the kitchen/garden relationship and built an understanding of the gastronomic implications of growing for a two Michelin star restaurant that prides itself on its sustainability
Maintained and monitored the health of exotic plants in heated polytunnel ensuring environmental conditions (i.e. humidity, temperature, watering) were kept at optimum levels
Cared for and maintained ornamental areas including herbaceous borders, wild flower meadow, Japanese tea garden, water garden and residency private gardens.
Orientated and trained new members of the garden team in daily tasks and broader planting specifications
Conducted regular tours exploring the kitchen and ornamental gardens with hotel guests as well as visiting groups from the Oxford Botanic Gardens Patrons Club, Royal Horticultural Society, Gardeners World and Horticultural Colleges. Tours are geared toward sharing our key sustainable practices, broad range of vegetable variety and our unique approach toward kitchen gardening.
