As Event Coordinator I was key contact for visiting event companies, this role includes liaising with event organisers to ensure all counter terrorism, health & safety rules, guidelines and best practices are adhered to throughout build and event, managing various contractors throughout and liaising with relevant authorities where necessary. As Event Duty Manager, I was responsible for on the day services throughout the venue, and event ensuring all departments are operating in line with agreed procedures and quality control systems.

As Event Duty Manager I was responsible for the planning, coordination and management of club nights, live gigs, and corporate events, taking place in Sheffield Students' Union venues ranging from 50 to 2000-person capacity.
Key responsibilities include- event planning and briefing, artist liaison and hospitality, bar and security staff coordination, health and safety/risk assessment, efficient venue operation and customer service, post-event reporting and evaluation.
As an Information and Communications Assistant at the Sheffield Students Union, I worked a variety of different roles, including the welcome desk and the box office. Notable achievements include being awarded both the Student Staff Member of the Year and Overall Staff Member of the Year.
My passion for events comes from not only working them, but attending them. I thrive in the live events environment- the energy, the experience, the memories, this is what motivates me further in my roles. I love experiencing the events as a customer, attending live music events, festivals, football matches and comedy shows. I also love to visit new cities and experience new culture, trying new foods and exploring new places. In my other free time I like to keep fit and regularly attend the gym as well as spending quality time with my family and friends.
