• Collected, preserved, extracted, decrypted and interpreted digital information in a forensically sound manner in line with the ACPO Guidelines.
• Analysis of data held on a magnitude of devices such as, workstations, laptops, tablets, mobile telephone handsets, digital cameras and all forms of digital media.
• Used a vast range of investigative and analytical techniques to ensure that all requisite evidence as well intelligence was successfully acquired from exhibits and datasets.
• Recovery and presentation of digital evidence, within current legal constraints.
• Wrote evidential statements for presentation of digital evidence at court, responded to Defence Expert opinion and providing advice to the Prosecution team.
• Managed large datasets from numerous sources and maintaining accurate digital records of location and states of numerous concurrent examination cases.
• Maintained up-to-date technical knowledge of emerging digital devices and Internet based resources to act as expert advisor to Investigators and case managers across the Constabulary.
• Attended case conferences to advise Counsel on the strengths and weaknesses of the digital evidence.
