Work History

Administration Officer

Home Office, UK Visas & Immigration (UKBA)
04.2013 - 02.2014
  • As a caseworker, I was responsible for making the correct decisions on a range of immigration work streams, assessing applications against the immigration rules. In this role, I was responsible for developing and maintaining good working relationships to deliver the judges’ decisions on time. Working with the UKBA has allowed me to review and analyses large volumes of documentary evidence and dealing with highly confidential information for both private and the business.

Mentor

Merseyside Youth Association (MYA)
04.2009 - 08.2009
  • I have collaborated with the MYA project which was aimed to demonstrate Liverpool culture to children who were under the age of 11. My role was to work with my other mentors to organise a day out with the children. I have developed how to communicate well, supervise young children, and the ability to work effectively with my team members.

Admin Assistant

Liverpool 8 Law Centre
11.2005 - 02.2006
  • I developed the ability to work on my own initiative as a receptionist at the Law Centre. I was required to deal with enquiries and was able to solve problems without supervision. Working at the 8 Law Centre has helped me to develop the skills necessary to apply my significant academic achievements.
