In September 2024, i became self employed as a PVC lamination Consultant working along side my farther, this role evolved going into company's across the uk and training employees and suggesting operating improvements within there lamination departments, this evolved

• Effectively running the lamination lines, which includes:
• Preparing foil for products
• Setting lines according to product requirements
• Monitoring material and substance feeds
• Monitoring product quality
• Trimming & packaging finished products
• Work in conjunction with QS/ETS standards

• Understand and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

• Gain proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery.

• Attend training sessions and study technical materials to build knowledge of toolmaking processes.

• Assist in the fabrication of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds.

• Operate machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, surface grinders and cylindrical grinders.

• Measure and test components to ensure they meet specifications using precision instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

• Support the maintenance and repair of existing tools and dies.

• Learn how to troubleshoot and resolve issues with tools and machinery.

• Perform routine checks and cleaning to maintain the longevity of tools and equipment.

• inspect finished products for accuracy and adherence to design specifications.

• Record and report any defects or irregularities to the supervising toolmaker.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.

• Prepare materials and tools for production tasks.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe workplace.
