I have spent time volunteering at a local community kitchen when I can. Whilst it may not seem relevant at first glance, Food Works has deepened my insight into the legal and political structures that are in place which are supposed to aid the poorest in society.

Spending a day canvassing with the former MP Brendan Clarke-Smith provided a fantastic opportunity to speak to people about policy and legal frameworks: the most repeated issue raised by people being immigration.
