I am a qualified dietitian and worked for nine years in my home country. I spent three years working on a hospital ward, supporting children, elderly patients and pregnant women. This role helped me develop empathy, patience and a good understanding of individual care needs.
After this, I worked for six years in public catering, including nurseries, schools, social care institutions and hospitals. I have experience with special diets, food safety, hygiene standards and preparing meals for vulnerable people, always with attention to quality and nutritional needs.
After moving to the UK, I started a new life with basic English language skills. This was challenging, but I was motivated to adapt and improve. I worked in a food production factory, where I gained UK work experience and improved my communication skills. My English has continued to improve over the years, and I am committed to developing it further.
In recent years, I have been at home caring for my son, who has special needs. This experience was mentally demanding and required a high level of responsibility, organisation and emotional strength. Caring for him has strengthened my understanding of daily care routines, personal needs and the importance of patience and compassion.
I am reliable, kind and hardworking and now that my son is attending secondary school, I feel ready and motivated to return to work to help others as well.
I volunteered at Sheffield Cathedral for almost a year, where I welcomed visitors in the role of welcomer in 2020.
