I am a skilled teacher and linguist with nearly 25 years of experience and success in teaching children and young people at Key Stages 2-5. I have held positions of responsibility (including Senior Leadership) in both primary and secondary schools. I consider results to be a priority; however I believe strongly that excellent and compassionate pastoral care and support are key in ensuring that each child and young person is equipped to achieve their full potential. I also believe that a person's education should leave them with the social and life skills to deal with adult situations as well as qualifications and training.
I am registered on the DBS Update Service.
I took over one year 6 class in this two-form entry school after their previous teacher left the school. I was responsible for preparing the class for their SATs, taking part in internal and external writing moderation activities as well as taking a lead in the day-to-day well-being and behaviour management of the children. I will be taking part in the residential in June and am in the process of organising their end-of-year production and other activities.
I am leaving this post due to the end of the short-term role.
I left this role as I wanted to go back to having a teaching post.
I taught years 3 and 4 at Kenyngton Manor and was also responsible for setting Home Learning during the COVID lockdowns.
I left this role to care for my father who has since died.
I left this role to care for my mother who has since died.
I left this role as I was head-hunted to become Head of Year 6 at Southville Junior School.
