Summary

A highly-organized, methodical individual with experience in managing operations within UK-based Christian Science organisations. A skilled communicator with experience of working with two UK Christian Science charities; as both chairperson and trustee and as a paid employee. A class-taught student of Christian Science with a demonstrable knowledge of Christian Science practice, striving daily to understand God and demonstrate the healing that this closeness to God brings. My practice encompasses all those I come into contact with and I love witnessing that in church work situations too. A committed, active member of The Mother Church and my local branch church, serving as Sunday School Superintendent and deputy reader. An accomplished teaching professional with extensive experience in coordinating multiple activities within a working environment simultaneously. An enthusiastic, decisive person who is cheerful, punctual, orderly, patient, full of faith - working moment by moment to be receptive to Truth and Love.

Skills

1 Organisation of self and work flow

By nature, I am a planner of work and home/family life I make lists and easily prioritise tasks in order to enable an environment to work harmoniously and efficiently I naturally manage my workflow by breaking it down into smaller, more manageable tasks

2 Teamwork

I have acted on organising committees for UK-based Christian Science youth activities for over ten years, organising successful events such as the TMC Christian Science Summit UK which proved a useful opportunity to develop my leadership and delegation skills and was a wonderfully, inspiring event cultivating fellowship and enthusiasm for Christian Science in the UK Following the success of this event, I took on the role of chairperson for 'Christian Science Committee for Focus', a UK-based Christian Science youth charity Through working in a busy school environment, and working as a job share with a colleague, I have learnt the importance of staying in frequent communication through email and face-to-face meetings I understand the need for all members of a team/workforce to complete tasks in a timely manner and to provide mutual support for each other in order to meet a planned outcome

3 Communication

Through my work experience and education, I have developed strong communication skills, and I'm able to clearly convey points to different audiences, both verbally and in writing I'm also a good listener which aids in my ability to intimately understand a situation and prepare an appropriate response I am quick at typing on a computer keyboard which helps when noting key information during meetings In my work for the Online Reading Room, I have worked effectively with my co-worker to read, pray about and consider appropriate responses to queries from newcomers to Christian Science When supporting in response to outreach queries from branch church members, I listen carefully and discern the wider motive and consider best how

4 Self-motivated

I am very motivated to work efficiently and effectively My voluntary and paid work experiences up to now have taught me to complete given tasks as well as seeing around the needs of a task or project and take initiative
