  • In addition to the main role I also held the role of Prevent Lead and DDSL.

    Provide SEMH support to pupils, parents and staff across 2 schools.
    Deliver targeted, group and 1:1 interventions tailored to presenting need.
    Monitor and measure impact of interventions.
    Signpost/refer to specialist MH services as required.
    Support Head as a point of contact for families, maintaining communication between home and school and external agencies.
    Engage with hard to reach families, identifying and addressing barriers to engagement.
    Initiate and participate in meetings to address MH and WB concerns impacting school engagement. Carry out Safe and Well visits as required.
    Carry out initial assessments of family needs to ensure early intervention and timely support with appropriate referrals.(EHA)
    Keep up to date with local and national service provision for referral and signposting purposes.
    Lead whole school approaches to MH initiatives-Hello Yellow, Children's Mental Health Week, Anti-Bullying Week.
    Collaborate with school leaders and governors to implement the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Blueprint for Mentally Healthy Schools.
    Stay up to date with MH issues locally and nationally and actively engage in CPD
    Share responsibility as DDSL and Prevent Lead to promote safeguarding best practices, deliver staff training and ensure compliance with legislation and guidance.
    Manage and monitor safeguarding records, attend MDT, TAF, Safeguarding, CP meetings and Core group reviews
    Manage workload autonomously while maintaining excellent working relationships with school staff and external teams or agencies.

    I provided a triage for students who requested or had been signposted by staff for Wellbeing assessment or support.
