Legally trained with a strong academic background in environmental law and international accountability mechanisms. Currently completing an LLM at Birkbeck, University of London, with a dissertation that critically compares Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) systems in Turkey and the UK. The research explores how strict liability frameworks—such as ecocide—can address enforcement gaps and strengthen corporate accountability in environmental governance, by analysing how national legal differences affect the effectiveness of EIA processes in both countries. In addition to academic work, I have designed and organised a sustainability-focused moot court competition in collaboration with PepsiCo and ISTAC, simulating potential disputes under Turkish environmental law between consultancy services and companies during the waste collection and removal process under contractual obligations.
