Key achievements and responsibilities:

  • Running a global portfolio of over 50 global events each year including trade show stands, sponsorships, speaking slots, training courses webinars, networking dinners and team days.
  • Managing, tracking and forecasting an event budget of over £300,000.
  • Analysing and reporting on event ROI and presenting metrics.
  • Implementing sustainable event solutions to support our BCorp certification.
  • End to end management of events including: venue sourcing, fee and contract negotiations, stand artwork, literature, PR, social, giveaways, presentation reviews, webpage updates, CRM administration, F&B, travel and accommodation.
  • Manage corporate credit card and be responsible for expenses.
  • Manage all aspects of communication between the venue, conference organisers and our team to ensure everyone is informed and the event goes to plan.
  • Attending events where possible to ensure the smooth running of our investment and to support our team. This includes team calls pre and post and a comprehensive event brief for the team to take away.
  • Creating the overall event plan, ensuring it is aligned to commercials goals and falls within budget.
  • Use HubSpot and Canva to create and manage our communications and lead lifecycle.
  • Work across multiple departments to create presentations, event literature and event goals.

For over 50 years, 1Spatial, a Cambridge University spin off, has been a global leader in providing software, solutions and business applications for managing location and geospatial data. They help global organisations, such as MoD, Environment Agency, US Census Bureau and Highways Agency to address their spatial and non-spatial data challenges.


  • To plan, implement and provide ROI on over 65 global events, webinars, training courses and internal events.
  • Responsible for the research, planning, management, PR and social promotion, content creation, stand design and artwork, AV, entertainment, contracts, budgeting, campaign management, website updates and logistics for physical, hybrid and virtual events, webinar and training programme.
  • Plan and manage the annual conference which attracted up to 250 people physically pre Covid, which rose to nearly 800 people online in 2020 and 600 in 2021 as a hybrid event.
  • Plan and manage 4 roadshow style events annually across the UK and Ireland - over 600 delegates in total.
  • Manage quarterly global company update meetings for around 300 team members and create plan and manage regular online product and customer updates for team members.
  • Telesales and video promotion script creation, telesales calls for events and campaigns.
  • Marketing lead and campaign management for two 3rd Party Products, namely FME by Safe Software and VertiGIS Studio by VertiGIS.
  • CRM campaign management in SalesForce: creating, managing delegate communications, leads and ROI.
  • Managing and maintaining the event budget and spend throughout the year.
  • Creating and managing the event plan in line with budget and company strategy, as well as providing regular updates to the Sales and Management Teams.
  • Creating content and promotional materials to include: webpages, eblasts, PR, blogs, email footers, social updates and campaigns, flyers, case studies and newsletters.
  • Creating all event, webinar and training programs in Marketo and ensure all leads are against appropriate campaigns and salesperson in Sales Force.
  • Create updates and host pre and post event/webinar meetings to keep the team fully informed, discuss feedback and experience and to cover leads and any ROI statistics.

The Cambridge Belfry which opened in 2024, was an exciting new build for Marston Hotels (now Q Hotels), situated just outside of Cambridge and offering state of the art conference facilities to accommodate up to 250 guests.


  • Helped set the hotel up before official opening.
  • At the annual Marston Hotel Employee Awards Ceremony, I was awarded ‘Employee of the year’ in 2004.
