I started my own consultancy business focusing on obtaining EU grants for charities, especially those within the animal welfare sector. Primate Internship- Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary 09/2016-04/2017
This initially was a year- long position which I started after I completed my MSc, but I was employed as a Keeper and Volunteer Coordinator after 8 months into the internship.
Volunteer-Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary 04/2014-09/2015
This was initially a 3-month volunteer placement, however, I ended up extending and stayed until I started my Masters (18 months in total). I had started establishing the EU funded programmes in this time and continued to apply for funding for the charity during my MSc and internship.
Research Student- Fauna Forever 2013-2014
After finishing my Bachelors Degree I became a research student in Peru, helping to collect data of various species of monkey for PhD students, professors and later for myself. I focused on the bushmeat trade in Peru especially on primates where, I accompanied illegal hunters, identifying catches- species, sex, age and number of individuals caught. I also attending markets to identify carcasses, live animal trade, market value and consumer favour.
