Hayley de la Motte

I am responsible for:

• Processing a wide variety of complex casework requests, including housing and benefits cases, with a focus on immigration work. This typically involves producing accurate representations in short spaces of time, and following up with department officials electronically and in-person.
• Writing letters to Government ministers.
• Coordinating and taking meetings at constituency advice surgeries.
• Drafting policy responses reflective of the MP's views.
• Generating concise summaries of my work for monthly reports to the local party.
• Arranging and representing the MP in meetings with stakeholders.

I was responsible for:

• Producing high-quality casework representations, policy responses, and briefings, on an extensive range of subjects in short spaces of time.
• Developing content for Rosena's website and social media platforms, and trained interns and volunteers.

• I performed a variety of client-facing roles for diverse organisations including HIT/Mattel, ASOS, Workspace, Sainsbury's, NFL London, Local Authority Building Control, Red Bull, Industrial Light and Magic, and Rosling King LLP.
• I typically acted as a first point of contact, greeting guests and operating the switchboard. I was also frequently responsible for booking meeting rooms and couriers, making travel arrangements for executives, ordering stationery and lunches; issuing building passes; and managing the post room.
• I established enduring relationships with many of the above listed organisations, who repeatedly sought my availability to fill any temporary vacancies across a period of several years.

• I interned in the office of Tulip Siddiq MP two days a week as part of my BA History and Politics degree.
• My role was to support the Caseworker by writing representations to Brent/Camden Councils, Government departments, and other organisations on behalf of constituents.
• I also assisted at surgeries, managed incoming and outgoing post, and performed a number of other administrative duties.

• Received a Faculty of Arts and Humanities Postgraduate Research Studentship, granting me a fee waver and monthly maintenance grants for the duration of my research period.
• Awarded the 2023 Barney Fund International Travel Award, funding a fieldwork trip to Krakow, Vienna, Munich, and Dresden.
