Harvey Mills

I am currently working as a floor and wall Tiler. I Tile mostly bathrooms day in and day out, sometimes working on site or at a customers home. I have learned many skills from this job that will help me in a lot of situations in my home life which is why i am glad i went for this job 3 years ago. It was only meant to be a temporary job as i wasnt driving at the time and didnt have many options. I am now driving and looking to expand my career to something i know i will enjoy doing.

As soon as I left school i applied for a job at my local Mcdonalds as it was only a 5 minute walk from where I lived. This job was a very good starting point for me as it taught me how to work as a team and help me to evolve my communication skills when talking to customers. Working at mcdonalds also taught me how to work under pressure in a fast pace environment. I managed to work my self up to the promotion 'Crew Trainer' which involved tasks like teaching new employee's everything there is to know for example handing out order's and always being polite or how to deal with customer complaints in a professional manner.
