I'm a confident and motivated person who is constantly thriving for new ways to progress and improve myself as a person. In my professional career, new challenges are something I look forward to exploring. More importantly, I have learnt to overcome circumstances that have not gone in my favour by assessing the situation and working out solutions to grow and improve . I consider myself to be mature and kind towards all people, on a personal and professional level. Relationships are very important to me, I enjoy introducing myself to new faces and I'm a strong believer in, "always building a bridge instead of burning one." Growth is something im not shy off and im always excited when new opportunities arise.
Although this was my first time working as a bartender, I became very comfortable within a short period of time. I credit that to my prior work experience in sales and relationship skills with customers. Whilst working at the Marian Anderson I did exactly that, I developed great relationships with customers and colleagues, which has been very beneficial for both the business as well as the customer experience. It was important as a business to focus on customer relationships more so than ever, due to the pub being shut down towards the end of 2023 and the start of 2024. Since I was there from when we reopened and started trading in February, I took on multiple responsibilities myself to get the pub up and running into a profitable business. Below are a list of regular day to day tasks that I would complete to assure the pub ran efficiently.
During my time at DHL, my forklift skills enhanced tremendously. Daily operations would include, picking orders, loading and unloading trucks, forklift maintenance and general housekeeping. The DHL Supply Chain I was working at was contracted to LG Electronics as well as BRP, which meant that the products I was dealing with included, fridges, washing machines, TVS and ultimately everything LG was selling at the time. This required the ability to operate a high reach forklift as well as a forklift with a clamp attachment to help prevent damages on the products. As for BRP, my role was to load and unload trucks at a separate location which held SeaDoo jet ski's, Canam's and ATV's. A successful candidate would have to be confident with lifting over 1 Tonne above their head on a forklift, going up and down ramps with cargo, loading and unloading trucks and maintaining safety in all aspects whilst operating. Attention to detail was a must during this job and I'm confident to say that I was successful in the role and exceeded expectations.
