  • Developed and implemented a full suite of reporting tools for the agency, allowing the partners to quantify and visualize agency performance and resource allocation at a forensic level for the first time.
  • Conducted a complete systems and processes review for the agency resulting in an Agency Blueprint highlighting all workflows and personnel involvement.
  • Lead the agency's data quality efforts which enabled the swift removal of non compliant staff and driving compliance and efficiency across the remainder of the agency.
  • Spearheaded the implementation of new underwriting and telephony systems for the agency as well as being the lead on a complete replacement of all IT hardware across the agency.
  • Acted as a Project Manager for the agency as it prepared to acquire another agency. In this I worked closely with the other agency to understand at a granular level their systems and processes, performance and staffing levels.
  • Assisted Team Leaders with the hiring process, helping to screen CVs, engage with recruiters and conducting interviews.

  • Joined ACUA as employee #2 and played a vital role in the formalization and initial growth of the business.
  • Responsible for the drafting of initial legal documents for the business, including drafting NDAs, employment and contractor agreements as well as initial contractors with suppliers and partners.
  • The lead for taking the business through its ISO 9001, 14001, 27001 and 45001 accreditation. Creating and implementing a wealth of formal documents, procedures, checklists and workflows. In addition to being responsible for ensuring continued compliance in quarterly audits.
  • Conducted all employee onboarding, exit and continued training for the business as well as general employee administration.
  • Responsible for all hiring and interviews throughout the business. I conducted the full recruitment cycle, from job spec formulation through to first stage interviews and offer stage.
  • Heavily involved in the conceptualization and formulation of the business' commercial strategy, investment and route to market.
  • Oversaw the business' insurance requirement, budgeting and general reporting requirements.
  • Acted as Project Manager for the business' various government-backed projects ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery whilst maintaining quality and compliance with legal, contractual and regulatory standards.

Senior Claims Handler

  • Worked within the Western Property Claims Division. Responsible for the administration of large fire, water and theft losses with a value of $15,000.
  • Effectively project managed a continuous book of claims with total reserves of over $500,000 with 150 concurrent claims at any one point. Taking the claim through First Notice of Loss through to completion and settlement.
  • Collaborated with Field Adjusters who would inspect Loss locations and interpret video/photographic footage to determine the cause of loss and apply the correct coverage.
  • Conceptualized and spearheaded the launch of a new suite of communications to customers affected by a third-party with no coverage. Produced a new suite of communications triggered by automatic fields in the customer's profiles when a claim was rejected. Lead a regional pilot which was then adopted by the national business. Engaged with senior stakeholders in the business, up to VP Claims.
  • Part of the Western Coverage Committee, responsible for reviewing difficult claims with non-standard features, to review the policy and legal intentions to apply coverage. This involved being aware of legal precedent through the court system to apply similar principles and be aware of outcomes in the event of a legal challenge to our decision.
  • Assisted Management in the hiring of new employees and was largely responsible for providing on-the-job training and mentorship to new starters throughout their first six months on a rolling basis.
