Over four days of work experience I did at Eutelsat including working with Neils McKenzie Wood, I first spent time developing practical experience using python to extract and read data from text files, understanding how queries work and how data can be sorted and cleaned for use. I also had a chance to see the financial side of the business, I was given opportunities to learn how budgets are managed and what is needed as a minimum. This also included how cost and revenue is tracked and managed and how that can impact decisions within the business. In addition to this, I had seen how different data is collected, processed and integrated with the satellite systems, this gave me an understanding at how data can be used in such large scale operations. Finally in my four days, I helped plan an event helping to improve my teamwork and communication skills.
