Working with the nuclear project team to deliver the permanent Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) systems at Hinkley Point C for EDF Energy on a DMIC contract.

Currently managing the engineering interface between the design back office and on-site team to execute site installation works of all equipment & pipework in accordance with the approved design & applicable EDF specifications.

• Technical supervision of all installation works.
• Supporting the site team with methods planning, reporting, technical clarification, procurement and commercial management.
• Manage design validation of installation work carried out by various installers.
• Collaborate with the installer, design team, quality department and the client to resolve site NCRs and FCRs.
• Plan the strategy and execute compilation of data required for end of erection reports.
• Co-ordinate with the layout design team to produce technical installation drawings, compile as-built data and update 3D models as required.
• Prepare technical responses to variations from the Client and manage associated commercial risks.

• Managing configuration control through the install phase by producing & validating installer workbooks (automated using Python).
• Manage manufacturing subcontractors for structural steelworks packages.

  • Supported the senior structural engineer with the design, manufacture and installation of various nuclear safety class 1 auxiliary equipment: diesel fuel tanks, heat exchangers, compressed air tanks, piping networks, embedded anchor plates, expansion tanks and temporary civil formworks
  • Contributed to the detailed design phase to produce technical equipment specifications and supported the supplier selection procurement process
  • Reviewed and produced technical documentation, mechanical drawings, design calculations, and management plans in line with client requirements
  • Technical supervision of all subcontractor manufacturing activities including quality inspections and the resolution of NCRs
  • Worked closely with the quality team to meet the requirements of the quality plan, completing audits at supplier manufacturing facilities
  • Supported the change management team to process technical changes
  • Delivered effective reporting for internal stakeholders and tracked project risks
  • Prepared responses to client general communications and variation requests, working with the commercial team to process claims
  • Mobilised site readiness and coordinated delivery, storage and installation for all walled-in equipment
  • Contributed to the Sizewell C bid proposal
