At Jewson, I was responsible for building strong customer relationships, handling orders both over the phone and face-to-face, and negotiating competitive rates and margins with suppliers and customers. I took pride in delivering the best deals for all parties, ensuring long-term satisfaction and repeat business.
I frequently took on field sales duties, visiting customer sites to assess upcoming and ongoing projects, gather material requirements, and provide quotations. I also initiated relationships with new sites, introducing our services and establishing the foundation for future partnerships.
Building trust with my customers was a key priority, and I developed lasting relationships with many, even outside of work. I was always proactive in learning more about the materials and projects at hand, which helped me gain deeper insights into my customers' needs and fostered stronger connections.
I conducted market research and developed strategies to target new business, such as the Sizewell C project. Through persistence and direct engagement with site managers, I helped grow our presence, establishing 41 regular accounts where we had no previous contact.
