A dedicated, hardworking healthcare professional with an undoubtedbly strong work ethic. Experienced in clinical practice, quality improvement and data interpretation, complemented by traits akin to empathy and patient-empowerment, and advanced life support skills.
I feel I demonstrate leadership capability through captaining multiple cricket teams, in co-owning a networking organisation, as well as making crucial decisions on the ward during my early clinical years. An avid educator, responsible for coordinating teaching for final year student doctors at the University of Sheffield's MedSoc and delivering lectures to large student groups. My career goals include further enhancing healthcare delivery through personal and clinical development, undertaking opportunities in medical research and developing my skills in medical education.
I have captained Sheffield U15 age group for cricket, demonstrating both my capabilities as a player as well as a leader.
I attained the David Stainer prize in my 4th year of medical school exams where I achieved the highest grade in my cohort in the psychiatry module of the paper, winning a £100 cash prize,
I co-own a CIC called Qadr which is aimed at community networking - bringing people together in a friendly environment as well as being the ultimate platform for small businesses in the city to showcase their talent is something that resonates heavily with me. Seeing others' success matters as much to me as my own.
I have also led multiple teaching lectures with numbers up to 300 for younger medical students during my time at university and even now - I am the current FY1 lead for Sheffield University's MedSoc where I will be heavily involved in helping the final year students prep for their summative exams and beyond. I have confidence in both public speaking and an aptitude for clinical education.
I also undertook a clinical research project for 6 weeks during my 2nd year of medical school around Neutrophil counts and acute inflammation in long COVID-19 patients. This was massively enlightening as it was the first time I had been exposed to research and clinical trials. I attained the highest grade possible for my report and presentation.
