• Undertake all necessary tasks to ensure a productive, tidy and professional beat
• My beat comprised of 2,100 acres including 5 release pens and 10 high bird pheasant drives releasing 18,000 poults at 7 weeks of age
• all vermin control carried out alongside under keeper
• deer management on a large scale across the full 5000 acre estate with assistance from head keeper as well as stalking rights being let out
• ensured careful placement of game bird crops
• maintaining good repore with local residents as well as members of the public
• medicating of header tanks and feedstuffs following working closely with an avian veterinarian
• Woodland management from all aspects
• running of beating line on shoot days
