Volunteering
  • Annual Summer Camp:

Every summer we host a camp for children ages 7-16 where we run a sports day, trip, team activities and general skill development for them all which I have been helping to manage and run for the past 7+ years. This is where we run workshops with the topics of different culture beliefs as well as the importance of physical and mental health.

  • Coaching

In 2022 myself and a handful of my friends started a children's football team that I now coach each weekend. We’ve have been successfully accepted by the FA to take part in the summer tournaments this year as we have set the correct legal measures in place to ensure the children are always safe, all coaches are DBS checked and all media captured to be posted is signed off by the parents of the children in the club. Due to the success so far we are now also looking to create the adults team for the club.

  • Apprenticeship Fairs

In my time on the apprenticeship at BT I was invited to travel up and down the country to different apprenticeship fairs and schools to present the schemes on offer at BT on their behalf. This involved me giving a presentation to a large number of students about the possibility of joining BT as well as taking them through the application process for them to join the organisation.

  • Onboarding Apprentice Training

Throughout my time with BT I have helped with multiple Apprentice onboarding events where I presented my experience and my opinions on the course as well as how best to make the most of the opportunity the new apprentices have been given. During this time I was also tasked with handling a few newly onboarded apprentices and getting them settled in and supported them with learning throughout their degree course.
