I currently work as a dispatch operative for Cranswick who supply food products to M&S and Ocado. My job includes many different roles and skills which can be transferred into other industries such as hospitality and bar management. My baseline role is to pick the products to send to the companies we supply. I also help to manage the stock rotation within my department ensuring we have enough products available. Each working day I am under a strict time management schedule to ensure everything is completed on time and there are no delays. I also help with inventory tasks and organising stock orders. Within my current job I must adhere to health and safety laws and food hygiene and am fully trained on this. Although my job title is not described as a team leader, I am still relied on by my colleagues to answer questions and queries about my department and help them to solve any issues that come up. As a bonus I am also a qualified first aider and hold a qualsafe certification.

The job entailed managing stock levels, changing barrels, managing a team during extremely busy periods and following the licensing and age restrictions laws. I also trained new members of staff during my employment. I coordinated with kitchen staff to provide seamless service during dining hours. I maintained clean premises, promoting a welcoming atmosphere for patrons. I managed cash - cashing up tills on a morning when opening the bar and restaurant and checking for fraudulent notes.
