-Assessing , planning , implementing and evaluating nursing care of neurologically ill adult patients

-Monitoring the vital signs and prompt identification of the deteriorating patient .

-Work in coordination with a multidisciplinary team which includes the doctors , shift leader ,pharmacists , physiotherapist , occupational therapists , dietitian , matron of the unit , practice educators , bed managers and the specialist nurses .

-Looking after acutely unwell , intubated and ventilated patients and managing the equipments and responding to emergencies

-Administering the medications as per the hospital policies and protocols .

-maintaining clear and legitimate documentation and reporting the incidents .

- Providing emotional support and education to patient and the families .

- Mentoring and supporting the junior staffs and students .

-Providing specialised care for patients who had stroke

-Assessing ,planning , implementing and evaluating the care provided .

-Preparing patient for rehabilitation .

-Assessment ,prevention and treatment of post stroke complications .

-Neurologic monitoring and pain management .

-Work in collaboration with the doctors , physiotherapists and other healthcare providers in taking clinical decision

-Supervising and teaching the new staff nurses and student nurses .
