I am an ITV Cymru Wales on-screen journalist through and through. If the last couple of weeks have taught me anything, it's about the importance of happiness and the importance of doing a job you absolutely love, with a team you absolutely love. I really hope I do not miss the opportunity to return quickly to where I belong, and pick up the great work I left just before Christmas. ITV Cymru Wales has a special team, and my place has always been with them, and is still with them.
I've been an experienced and award-winning on-screen journalist at ITV Cymru Wales for the past 19 years. For the past 7 years I've been the Rural Affairs Correspondent at the national broadcaster, a job which has seen me jump out of bed every morning and thrive on the day ahead. I have compiled reports for our flagship news programme 'Wales At Six' and our rural current affairs programme 'Coast & Country'. I have also been the Valleys Correspondent and worked on general news throughout that time. I have also been part of the news executive team managing younger colleagues and influencing wider day to day management issues affecting the whole team.
