Flexible working covering most areas of Barnsley Hospital, mainly working on AMU, but also picking up shifts on most medical wards and occasionally surgical too. I work a mixture of days and nights and i work between 36 and 48 hours per week.

Regular communications with other members of the MDT to unsure patient safety which is paramount

• Working for the Allocate On Arrival team at Barnsley Hospital, this was also a flexible working job role where myself and the rest of the team chose our own shifts each month and were allocated to different areas to help maintain safe staffing levels and improve patient flow throughout the trust. We didn't have a ward base and were coordinated by the site matrons at Barnsley Hospital. I enjoyed this role and worked permanent nights throughout. I worked 37.5 hours per week.

I worked this role throughout the Covid 19 pandemic and gained so much experience such as -

Respiratory care including trachyeostomy care, level 2 respiratory HDU care providing NIV, General medicine, trauma orthopaedics, general surgery.

• Here i worked on the Gynaecology Inpatient ward caring for women post operatively. We also cared for women with any pregnancy related problems, general gynae issues and also Oncology patients. Here i gained my competencies in IV Medications, Venepuncture and Acute pain management.
• Working holistically, in this role i really got to know my patients, the oncology patients especially, building a rapport with them
