  • Responsible for creating the daily schedule and managing any issues that may arise with scheduling.
  • Based in the Virology laboratory performing testing on client test articles. Daily workload involves a range of RCR-RCL and General Virology assay manipulations of negative, test article and positive samples. These include performing cell maintenance and end point testing such as hemagglutination, hemadsorption, cytotoxic staining, preparing immunofluorescence slides, observing cytopathic effect and product enhanced reverse transcriptase (QPERT).
  • Trained and experienced in handling high-risk pathogens, including HIV and BTV, within Category 3 laboratory environments.
  • Extensive experience in cell culture and manipulation. Previously based in the Cell Culture Laboratory for over two years, overseeing daily quality checks of over thirty cell lines and coordinating workload distribution among staff. Tasks included cell growth maintenance, preparing cell seed inoculations and media preparation.
