Quality Assurance Manager for Teaching and Learning, leading a team of teachers and quality assurers to ensure minimum standards are met supporting over 2,000 students nationally between the ages of 4 years to 18, who may be experiencing fixed exclusions, SEMH and ALN and disabilities. I analyse student progress, develop reports, highlight best practices, and make data-driven decisions. Managing a team of 8 to which I am a line manager for and coordinate 135 teachers across five curriculum areas to meet key performance indicators. I also lead regular training sessions for the quality team and teaching staff to ensure consistency, development, and uphold best practice. An integral part of my role to is to create, review and amend policies, processes and documentation, significantly impacting and working towards the Business Development Plan whilst working towards and upholding National Policy in a wider strategic context.

In this role, I motivated and supported learners by addressing barriers to engagement and constructively challenging and supporting behavioural difficulties. I worked with learners from GCSE to BA (Hons) levels to set individualised goals and targets to drive achievement. A number of the students I supported through pastoral care were from challenging backgrounds including LAC and an essential approach I fostered was build upon the foundations of a positive relationship with the student and their families/carers.

Effective communication was a priority, fostering collaboration among learners and utilising appropriate technology to enhance interaction. I worked closely with program teams to ensure consistency and maintained productive working relationships with staff.

Additionally, I adhered to college management systems by providing accurate and timely information in the required formats often contribution at senior leadership level. I taught and led the Level 4 Preparing for Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care at Grwp Llandrillo Menai, required for all registered Health and Social Care Managers in Wales, successfully guiding over 80 managers or prospective managers actively working across Conwy, Denbighshire, and Anglesey. I collaborated with City and Guilds, supporting curriculum development and participating in working groups whilst leading a number of teams across counties. My specialist teaching subject areas are Safeguarding Children, Young People and Adults, Additional Learning Needs, Positive Behaviour Approaches and Person/ Child Centered Care.

In this role I supported children who were not predominantly accessing education on a full time basis due to either behavioural difficulties or additional learning needs. This role was based across three primary schools in Llandudno.

I organised extra curricular activities that promoted social and emotiona skill development among additional learning needs supporting their integration into the school community. I collaborated with numerous departments and standard education teachers. I reviewed standards to ensure alignment with IEP, IBPs and ICPs goals, maintaining compliance with regulations whilst working as part of a multi agency team.
