Working in a range of roles has helped build communication skills and adaptability with a wide variety of people. I have learnt to effectively manage my time to ensure all observations, support plans and individual interventions happen effectively.
My current Early Years based role has allowed me to work with a diverse range of students and families, including those with diagnosed SEN or on the referral pathways. I have worked as a 1:1 for a child with complex SEN and supported their development inline with their EHCP.
I have developed good working relationships with colleagues, the children and the families in the setting I work in. Building close professional relationships and parent-teacher/child-teacher relationships is very important to me as it helps to ensure that the best possible care and learning can take place. Strong colleague relationships are particularly important when working in education due to the demands of the role.
Looking to the future, I am planning to apply to complete my PGCE/QTS in September 2026 and so am looking to build my school based experience to best support my future career ambitions.
