Throughout the course of my education and experience, I have always had a genuine passion in helping a variety of people with a range of different circumstances and situations. Each day I aim to get the basic things right to boost my productivity to the best of my ability. I enjoy taking on new challenges to understand my performance and strive for continuous improvement.
Working as a customer service advisor at Lloyds Banking Group I had taken the opportunity to serve a variety of different customers from a wide range of different circumstances and undertake different situations customers find themselves in. Working across Halifax, Lloyds Bank and Bank of Scotland
This role in particular I had found very beneficial and useful as I was put in the position of doing my best to ensure the right and best possible decision to be made in order to help the customer in the best way possible in regards to their individual finances.
Tasks and roles involved in my experience involved:
Throughout my occupation as a carer at Inmind Community Support Services I have had the main role of supporting and serving clients who face difficulty with regard to mental health, I have had the responsibility of ensuring the service users are safe and treated well at all times to help them go about through their daily lives.
I have engaged in many different roles and activities within my job role including:
• Assisting clients with daily household tasks including cleaning, laundry and food preparation.
• Aided in Maintaining a hygienic living environment for clients and other carers and workers within the vicinity.
• Writing, managing and updating client records, ensuring accuracy for dependable health and well-being monitoring.
• Regular "wellbeing checks" would simply involve checking in on clients regularly throughout my shifts to ensure they are well and safe. Other than this, if they needed any help or support, they could ask staff members or me directly.
• Ensuring safety within the vicinity for this was mainly demonstrated by some clients or service users who may be mentally ill and having a bad "episode". As a carer instructions were given on how to handle these situations safely and effectively.
Overall, the skills and experience I have acquired as a Care worker, I have found has allowed me to develop my Collaborative and Investigation skills, as I had to be able to understand a variety of service users struggling with mostly mental and physical disabilities.
