• As I started work here it was apparent that some menu items were more popular than others, and to ensure a smooth running of operations a frequent task was stocking and restocking the more desirable items. In order to maintain hygiene standards I cleaned, sanitised, and organised food storage racks and bins as well as keeping guest tables neat and tidy by regularly clearing away dirty dishes and wiping down surfaces. Regularly communicated with kitchen and bar staff to maintain smooth front-of-house operations, minimising potential service delays. Served high volumes of guests in fast-paced service environments with exceptional customer care. Also made sure to inform customers regarding ingredients used to address allergy and dietary issues.

I started working here as I turned 16 as I was eager to step out and earn for myself without having to rely on others as much as before. At this job, I enhanced certain professional and social skills whilst working alongside veterans in this particular field of work. Some main duties were to pass along bricks, sometimes in hand or by using wheelbarrows as well as clearing dirt off and filling skips. Safety protocols were always adhered to and kept in check.

This job helped increase essential life skills such as speaking to new people as well as coming to compromises.
