
I have excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with an ability to work well either as part of a collaborative team or autonomously. This allows me to thrive in challenging and fast-moving environments by prioritising tasks and targets with strong time management skills and exceptional work discipline.
My interests include reading books that enhance my knowledge of teaching, whether that is through proactive behaviour management strategies or up to date forms of assessment in PE. I enjoy spending time with my family and understand the importance of work like balance and their time as I feel an important value towards family life. I am a fitness enthusiast who works hard to push myself and others to strive for a healthier and active lifestyle.
· My role involves delivering outstanding lessons across key stages, 3, 4 and 5. I am currently teaching KS5 students Personal Development lessons that entail careers, university, and apprenticeships.
· Due to the numerous extracurricular activities provided, I am the Pupil Engagement Lead for the Academy. I am responsible for promoting and expanding extracurricular activities for all pupils.
· Responsible for promoting parental engagement.
· Manager for the Duke of Edinburgh award. This is the world’s leading youth achievement award.
· Teacher of KS3 Mathematics.
· My role as Teacher of PE includes designing a broad and balanced curriculum for each year group.
· Designing schemes of work for Key Stage 3 and 4 involving sports such as Football, Rugby, Cricket, Basketball, Rounder’s, Athletics, Trampolining and Swimming.
· Thoroughly assess pupils both theoretically and practically in secondary PE. Planning and delivering outstanding theory lessons for OCR Sports Science. My first exam group achieved a pass rate of 85%.
· Arranging and organising fixtures with other schools in the city to broaden opportunities for our pupils.
· Provide SEND pupils to participate in sporting events which caters for their needs.
· Organising and managing whole school Sports day and House competition events.
· Support the PE team with planning, delivery, and remote learning for students.
PE deep dived by Ofsted and have been awarded Outstanding.
· My role as a trainee involved attending meetings and workshops as required and supported the development of new course material utilising educational literature through assignments.
· Using effective and relevant consideration to all my lessons to enhance my students learning as which included Pupil Premium and SEND students.
· I have managed to gain a full year of experience teaching primary school pupils ages 6-11. This experience was integral for my experience and development as I have learnt how I must adapt my style of learning from secondary to primary.
· While liaising with my head of department I used several methods of assessments such as formative during PE lessons, and summative as students reached the end of a module.
