- Positivity and enthusiasm Working in private practice taught me that customer service had to be to a very high level in order for patients to come back Initiating conversations, smiling and working accurately was all part of the service
- Stacking and display The private podiatry practice had their own products which I took deliveries for and stacked them in a way that looked appealing to patients for them to buy as well as making the clinic look tidy
- Awareness and guidance Both of my work experience to date required me to help the elderly find their correct departments and help with their bags I needed to know where places were as well as being helpful and safe
- Patience with customers Working in a hospital is a very busy environment where people can get frustrated very quickly It is very important to stay compassionate as my course taught me and I learnt that staying calm and kind helps others feel better too
- Time-Management capabilities Although I did not find it easy, throughout my rowing in secondary school I learnt organisation, planning and timetabling was the only way to stay on top of my school work, training schedule before and after school and managing my diet
