In the process improvement role at Greencroft bottling I am responsible for writing new training documents for all areas of the factory, I have had many other tasks including helping to implement a new bottling line in which we found the most efficient way for the line to run to create the easiest and quickest return on the products ran. I have also helped implement a new OEE system, this tracks our efficiencies and gives us areas in which we need to improve.

At Greencroft Bottling I helped run a production line in the ancillary department. On a day-to-day basis I had the responsibility of operating the production line, monitor the quality of materials on the line and complete all production records for efficiency and traceability.

I had the responsibility of correctly setting the machines in accordance to the specification provided and assisting the technical foreman on manning the shift. I explored many of the roles within Scholle during my time there including packing, box making and operating the machines.

In the Cell planner role, I had the responsibility of releasing work and organising the most efficient way to get the work through the paint lines, I attended meetings to discuss the times that the product will be complete. I also monitored the KPI’s to see how efficient the paint line is working. I had to track the factory load to ensure that we are not overloaded to maintain an achievable capacity. Whilst doing the planning role I have also had some experience of supervising the staff that worked in my cell.
Duties:
As a grade 2 operator in HMY Radford’s I worked in multiple departments mainly running a long series machine, which produced shelves. During my time on this machine, I had the responsibility of doing first off check, following SOP’s and the day to day running of the machine. I also worked for a long period on goods inwards; this involved the unloading of wagons and booking the product in.
