Key Achievements:

Introduced stricter stock control measures which reduced waste from 5% in 2020 to 2.5% in September 2021, improved Logistics planning by increasing load capacity by 30% and created a more accurate method of CRM reporting so accurate Square meters and Gross Profit per order were readily available by Customer/Business Development Manager;

Financial Function:

  • Responsible for 2 members of staff
  • Monthly management account reporting to Head office and explanation of variances between actual and budgeted figures;
  • Sales reconciliation between Sage 50 and Sage CRM as well as daily and monthly sales analysis and reports of product and Gross Profit;
  • Accruals/prepayments and necessary journals;

  • Control over costs and cost-saving;
  • Creation of annual budgets and liason with auditors both domestic and abroad;

Warehouse and Logistics function:

Responsible for 5 members of staff including 2 drivers;

Responsibilities:

  • Stock forecasting and procurement to ensure correct quantities were available for sale at all times;
  • Monthly stock counts and reconciliation with the CRM system to ensure minimal stock losses occurred;
  • Quality control on product to ensure customer satisfaction;
  • Created and managed checks to ensure loading of vehicles was accurate and safe and to capacity where possible;

Admin and Customer Care Team:

  • Responsible for 4 members of staff whose main function is to process orders for customers, handle complaints and deal with various administrative tasks:

  • Responsible for disciplinary procedures, investigation and carrying out of hearings as well as responsible for interviewing, offer letters and contracts for new starters as well as issuing of starter packs to new employees;

Sales Function

  • Overseeing the sales department on a daily basis, the department is comprised of three full-time salespeople and a marketing employee;
  • Comparison of daily quote output and quote conversion against budget;
  • Ensuring staff making sufficient contact with clients and monitoring contact with new and existing clients as well as conducting weekly progress meetings.
