I started when I was studying my Level 3 Diploma in Childcare, I completed 700+ hours in total whilst I was doing 1 week in placement and 1 week in college. I gained experience during this time, being observed by my tutors to plan meaningful age and stage activities for the children, to promote healthy eating and to meet the interests of each child whilst providing a safe nurturing environment for the children. I worked here during the school holidays and was able to progress on my learning by completing first aid training and health and safety. I also followed the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) during play and learning.
