Work History

House, Dog & Baby Sitting

Various
2026.06 - Current
  • Since I completed my GCSE exams, I have worked for a number of families with various responsibilities.
  • I provided house sitting services for a family with a dog and included me staying at their house whilst they were away to feed & walk their dog.
  • I spent 2 days during the school holidays with sole responsibility for 2 young girls, aged 7 & 11. I spent the days with them doing some art and craft activities, playing games and cooking.
  • I regularly babysit for neighbours who have small children so they can go out in the evening

Work Experience

Sainsburys
2025.07 - 2025.07
  • I completed a week’s work experience at Sainsbury’s with a combination of tasks both in Badger Farm Supermarket & at Head Office in London.
  • Whilst working in stores, I was checking stock and filling shelves as well as assisting customers looking for specific items.
  • At head office I shadowed a number of senior managers to help me understand the different functions in the Commercial Department. I participated in internal meetings as well as with suppliers.
  • This experience provided me with the opportunity to understand the retail world, talking to customers, working within a team and using my communication skills in both environments. This has helped me prepare for future jobs in retail.

Duke of Edinburgh

Bronze award
2023.09 - 2024.09
  • I completed my Bronze DofE award 2024 having spent 6 months carrying out my skill, sport & volunteering as well as my 2 expeditions.
  • For my service I volunteered at my old primary school, helping at the after-school club. This gave me opportunities to communicate with the school children, help the older adults and teachers as well as cleaning the mess before and after the club opened.
  • During the practice and final expeditions, I supported a diabetic friend with timely medication. My leadership skills were tested when my team got lost, they turned to me for help, so I stepped up and took the lead. I organised how we were going to get back on track and I persevered with the team leading us to be the first group back.
