Managing a busy Homebase showroom selling Kitchens, Bedrooms and Bathrooms. My main duties were to oversee the smooth running of the showroom; achieve sales targets (KPI’s), CAD design, home visits, surveying, managing leads, finance, dealing with suppliers, organising customer deliveries, resolving branch issues, oversee training, promotions, compliance and assisting colleagues in the main store. During my time at Homebase, I consistently achieved all key performance targets and ensured high levels of customer satisfaction throughout my time. I sold an impressive number of Kitchens and Bathrooms (16 individual orders averaging 4.5K) in the first 3 weeks of January; before covid forced the showroom to close until late April
During my time at Benchmarx I sold a high volume of Kitchens to commercial tradesmen, letting agents and retail customers. I was also responsible for logistics organising deliveries, arranging templates from outside suppliers, selling building materials over the counter, fostering ongoing trade relationships, designing, and offering sound technical advice and support to a variety of tradespeople.
I demonstrated an ability to sell ‘on the day’ and exceeded sales targets during my time at Wren. I left Wren 4th out of 25 Designers in the showroom, with impressive sales figures of £560,000 in gross sales £450,000 net, year January–June 19. I also achieved 4th place in Installation sales in the south of England (out of over 500 salespeople). I generated a large amount of this business through my own initiative, people skills and design knowledge. I showed fantastic levels of customer service and adaptability to cater to all the differing needs of my clients. I was a true team player often turned to resolve technical issues and provide sales support.
I successfully designed and sold bespoke furniture for German kitchen company Schmidt. I met sales targets whilst maintaining high margins and a good conversion rate. I am very proud of my design work during this time, in the form of creative kitchens, interior solutions, wardrobes, bathrooms and bedrooms. I balanced a technical eye for detail whilst uniquely tailoring each individual project. My main responsibilities were selling, surveying, gathering leads, inspirational design, quoting, opening and closing the store.
Working with Mental Health patients part-time, in a forensic ward and various acute wards, alongside studying an academically rigorous degree at the University of Manchester. It was a stressful and challenging environment to work in but my interpersonal skills afforded me the chance to positively impact the lives of patients with severe mental health problems
