Investigating the Barriers to AR/VR Adoption in the Survey Sector 

This dissertation investigates the key barriers to AR/VR adoption in the surveying industry, focusing on technological limitations, high costs, organizational resistance, and regulatory challenges. Using the Best-Worst Method and a mixed-methods approach, the study identified issues such as software incompatibility, unclear ROI, lack of training, and data privacy concerns. It proposes solutions including standardized platforms, comprehensive training, ROI demonstration, and robust compliance frameworks, offering strategic recommendations to facilitate efficient AR/VR integration and enhance operational performance in the sector.
